My suggestion to change in default theme:
window.handle.width: 3
In file: /usr/share/themes/Mabox-superdesk/openbox-3/themerc
It is better for resizing windows.

It is your system and you are free to do what you want with it 
I will not change anything in this theme as it will be retired soon, and upcoming Colorizer tool (currently under developement) will provide lot of flexibility and easyness regarding Openbox theme configuration.
