System migrating to another comp

Hi,
I have tried to look through the forum (and the manjaro as well) but I cant find the answer.
I have an old laptop with many things on it and I bought a new and would like to migrate my system onto the new as less effort as its possible.

My idea is to install a new system to the new with the apps I would like, and copy the .config directory.

Any suggestion appriciated… cos I havent done such thing.

Hi @horvjoe,
I do it in a similar way.
With the difference that I copy my entire home directory to the USB, not just ~/.config

On the new computer I copy my entire old home directory somewhere, for example to /opt/old_home.

And as needed, I copy only the files and configs I need from it manually.
