Hey guys…
I have been exploring Mabox Linux for a few weeks now and am really enjoying its lightweight and efficient environment. I love how customizable it is, but I’ve run into a bit of a roadblock when it comes to tweaking the panel layout and configuring Tint2 to suit my needs better.
Here’s the issue I’m facing: I want to create a custom panel layout that combines elements from a couple of the existing ones. For instance, I like the default Tint2 panel at the top with its workspace switcher and systray, but I also want to add a bottom panel with a dock-like task manager for quick access to my favorite apps. I’ve tried using the Tint2 GUI config tool, but I’m not getting the results I expected. The new panel either overlaps the existing one or causes some weird visual glitches.
Also, I am having trouble setting up Tint2 to display application icons correctly on the task manager. Some apps just show a generic icon instead of their actual ones, even though I have the correct icon themes installed. Is there a specific setting or workaround I need to apply for this to work properly?
I also check this: https://forum.maboxlinux.org/t/configuring-the-tint2-panel-in-mabox But I have not found any solution. Could anyone guide me about this? And I’ve also noticed that some users have achieved a really sleek look by modifying the Tint2rc files manually. I’d love to know what specific lines or parameters I should be focusing on to achieve a dual-panel setup without conflicts.
Thanks in advance!
