Yes, the same packages are outdated here.
If I write as an example yay lxrandr
2 extra/lxrandr 0.3.3-1 (59.5 KiB 239.6 KiB) [lxde] (Installed: 0.3.2-3)
and can be selected to update.
I don’t know why sensitivity of yay is at such level.
There is no reason to force these packages to be updated.
Sometimes Mabox ships different versions of some packages than Arch/Manjaro. This is usually due to bugs in new versions.
Yes, very often new versions of packages contain regressions and new bugs in addition to new features.
Some distributions try to keep these bugs out of the system with updates. Others don’t care. This is part of the job called maintaining the distribution.
I will review those packages soon to see if I still need to maintain them in Mabox repo.
Current version of jgmenu is buggy for sure, I will check other packages and eventually update them.
Command line tool - yay - is recommended way to handle updates in Mabox.
