[SOLVED] Unable to get printer/scanner to work

I think I did everything right yet my printer/scanner reports as not being connected even though it is.

Setting a printer/scanner up in Linux should not be this difficult. IMO

Well after some thorough investigation I believe I have a bad USB printer cable. I’ll be trying to connect it to the WiFi router later today to see what that does.
