Technical previews and plans for ISO refresh…
The list is about April… I’ll see what I can implement in March…
Good progress on TODOlist…
A few more minor tweaks, some packaging, and it’ll be ready for public testing.
There will be two ways to use it: a basic CLI and a more functional dynamic menu.
Plus, Conky to remind you about your tasks ![]()
Optional features:
- multiple tasklists
- hierarchical notes for every tasklist
- custom menus for every tasklist

Is it available on the repository?
I use a version with rofi, but it doesn’t have reminders.
Not yet, I’m working on it.
This thing will not have reminders for sure. This is basic tool, based on http://todotxt.org/.
You might try it now in terminal:

I’m just working to properly package my enhanced version, easier to use for me, with some new functionalities I like to use.
By the way…
Personally I use it since more than a year already… it is a very handy little tool for me… but preparing it for public use is a whole different story.
Installed bare bone EOS. No desktop.
Added maboxlinux repo and installed most mabox-tools. Testing goes quite well i must say. When I find out what is possible and what not i will create kinda manual how to transform eos into 'ma’box. So far no big thing i cannot solve or find an alternative way.
DeavorBox , EndBox, EOSBOX ![]()
To be continued…
That’s interesting…
If I ever find a few free hours, I’ll try it with some Arch as well.
In theory, after adding the Mabox repo and installing the Mabox package list, you’d still need to copy the default configuration files (the Mabox /etc/skel).
I have CachyOS in another computer. Very impressed, I must say.
I’ve actually thought about trying something like this with a minimal installation of Debian.
I would call it DeBox.
I’m installing CachyOS with Openbox right now…
I will create new topic about such experiments.
There is BunsenLabs. I think it is a very good distro for Debian fans.
Rewriting certain Mabox tools for Debian would likely be a lengthy and challenging process.
Yeah. Thinking about and doing are two different things.
LOL
