Wallpaper Menu (from post above) - available from right-click on tint2 image button or super + alt + w

will become soon “Desktop styling menu” much more useful and fun.

Stay tuned! :slight_smile:

I’m playing around with LabWC. (GitHub - labwc/labwc: A Wayland window-stacking compositor)
Jgmenu works (almost) - which surprised me very positively :wink:

I’m thinking about releasing an ISO with both Openbox and LabWC. As far as I know, no distribution currently provides LabWC by default.
What do you think?
@muzqs what are your experiences with LabWC?

Some LabWC related stuff will land in Mabox repo soon :wink:

I don’t have experience with labwc.
But it looks very interesting.

Follows most rules of Openbox which sounds cool.
Why invent something new when there is already code to work with.
I have to read more about it.

I am alway’s interested in how things can be more secure.
And from reading Wayland is more secure than X11.
Wayland is also kinda look into the future.

I would say :+1:

This is a theory often used as an argument for Wayland, I have not found any practical confirmation of this thesis.

I am not a big fan of Wayland, for a simple practical reason - it takes away a lot of possibilities from me. Whether it gives something important in return - I don’t know - we’ll see…

Anyway, LabWC is a very interesting project, and I want to experiment with it :wink:

Thats what i discovered after watching a tutorial.
There are some consiquences.

The code and the idea are looking a bit more polished minimal as openbox xml.
And i think it add some new features too the desktop.

I just get used to jgmenu and tint2 etc.

Totaly :dizzy: some :bone: for playing.

For some reason i cannot add more post to ‘Picom with animations - config for Mabox - try it!’.
Computer say’s no more than 3 messages before reaction of otherside. (or something simmilar).

Anyway not important at all, this suits here fine too. :face_in_clouds:

Little drama cava | vis hiding.

{
match = "name = 'cavatransparent' || name = 'vistransparent'";
opacity = 1.0;
blur-background = false;
shadow = false;
animations = (
   {
      triggers = ["hide"];
      preset = "slide-out";
      opacity = 1.0;
      direction = "down";
      duration = 1.2;
      delay = 0.5;
   },
  )
},
