NO ethernet nor USB mouse when running in battery power

Hi, everyone!

I’m not sure if this is a Manjaro issue or a Mabox thing. I’m trying to explore and troubleshoot my problem.

Everything on my laptop is OK, except when I decide to start change to without the AC power on. If I start and run only with battery (which is in good health, I assume, because is 95% most of the time), I cannot use the USB mouse nor and the ethernet connection or the wifi. I can connect to Internet thru wireless, no problem at all, BUT that’s not optimal.

(I changed my first statement because I digged more and found that.)

So please hint me in the right direction for troubleshooting. No hurries. I most of the time live on AC power at home, but it’s no good to leave this as it is currently.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Wow…please post your pc/laptop config here… por favor publica los detalles de tu pc o laptop aqui para ver en que ayudar… (desde la terminal/from terminal : inxi -n (then plug your mouse and from terminal) : lsusb or lspci
Acabo de probar mabox con mi Mouse usb inalambrico con bateria en mi laptop y esta operando correctamente. I just checked my USB wireless mouse using battery power and Mabox is working good here.

Hi!

First of all I would check BIOS - if there aren’t any config options, that turns some hardware devices off while on battery.

Just to let anyone knows about this ethernet (LAN) disconnections from rtl8152 drivers using kernel 515 LTS… in some Manjaro forums users having a similar situation were recommended to try from AUR r8152-dkms driver from Realtek Github and test if this solves this partial impasse of missing Ethernet connection when using (Ideapad S340 laptop) battery only.

Thanks for your help, @ben_chile. Here it is my output:

After ~ 30 sec of disconnecting the AC power, the plugged in mouse turns off .

If I start the laptop without AC power, the mouse operates as expected. This strange behavior happens only when I started in AC but changed to battery in the middle of the session.

I already checked my BIOS, @slawiusz, under Ben’s guidance. Nothing special to report there. No configuration options for mouse.

Also I changed to kernel 518, as per Ben’s advise. According to lsmod, I have the aforementioned network module already installed (but maybe not in use?):
