My workstation died :( looking for new hardware

My workstation/buildserver for Mabox died :frowning:
It served me well for almost 4 years and probably built hundreds of test ISO images and dozens of official releases. Recently, it started malfunctioning and finally stopped working in November.

I’m currently using hardware borrowed from a friend (for a few weeks). But I need to urgently look for a new one.
I really like this hardware…

It’s an ASROCK DeskMini X300 + AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G with Radeon Graphics + 16GB RAM.

And I’m slowly looking for something similar…

Do you have any experience with the AMD Asrock DeskMini kit?
I’m not up to date on hardware.
Such a kit costs around $500. Box + CPU + Cooler + 16GB RAM + maybe a new hard drive. Fortunately, I don’t need a fancy graphics card. I only rarely play old games

Is it worth it?
Or do you have any other budget-friendly suggestions?

Three options I'm currently considering

1. Good

~ $500

ASROCK DeskMini X300 -Barebone
CPU + integrated grahpic card: AMD Ryzen 5 8500G Box AM5 (5,000GHz) 100-100000931BOX mit Kühler
Cooler: Noctua NH-L9a-AM5, Cooler CPU Low-Profile Klasy Premium dla AMD AM5 (Brązowy)
RAM: 16GB DDR4
Hard Disc: I can use old one - it is still alive

2. Dream

~ $750 - $900
Minisforum UM890 Pro

3. Low

~ $300
CHUWI UBox Mini PC. Probably enough power for ISO building; might be noisy.

If you want to help me fund new equipment, you can do it…

Take a look at this Minisforum please.

My cousin bought that one and is very happy. The performance is, in one word, absurd. :joy:

Thanks @M0nst3r

This Minisforum UM890 Pro looks incredibly impressive. A slightly smaller, yet more powerful beast.
Excellent reviews from buyers.
One drawback… the price is higher ($750 - $900)

It looks like a dream machine.

It’s currently at the top of my wish list.

Third option - budget friendly ~$300
CHUWI UBox Mini PC
Probably enough power for building packages, ISOs. I’m afraid it might make a little noise.
