I’ve read the information on an earlier Manjaro to Mabox post, but that one also suggests the best method of moving to Mabox is a fresh install. So my question is, can I do a fresh install of Mabox but keep my Manjaro Home folder intact, or must I begin anew across the board?

No it is not possible.
You need a fresh install and a fresh home directory.
You can make a copy of your current home directory and copy the files that are important to you after installing Mabox.
