Hello, I’m new to manjaro. Is this release of Mabox based on Manjaro 21.1.6? And when new updates come, will -Syu command be enough?

Hi @Vokhirion ,
Mabox’s latest ISO is dated 20211010 - build from Manjaro stable branch around week before Manjaro 21.1.6 “release”. So you should get the updates already. If not, try refreshing the mirrors and update by:

sudo pacman-mirrors --fasttrack 5 && sudo pacman -Syyu

In the rolling-release model, the release names are rather conventional and the point is more to mark the release date of the ISO image somehow.

You should be informed about any available updates by systray applet and Conky.

Then you can update your system either by GUI: Pamac or from command line:

sudo pacman -Syyu

or simply (my personal favorite):

yay
