Under “Mouse and Keyboard” I’ve set my mouse to left handed. It works until I restart, at which point it reverts back to right handed (though it says it’s left handed).
Is there a way to set it to left handed via the terminal which might have more sticking power? Thanks for your help.

Oh - my apologies, I did see that but I hoped there was a more recent fix, since it seemed like the “Mouse and Keyboard” didn’t exist in 2021 when it was posted. I’ll follow those instructions, then. Thanks for the fast reply.
