Latest pulseaudio 17.0-98-gb096... manjaro-downgrade?

Hi, latest pulseaudio causes a constant audio delay of 0.5-1.0 seconds and likes to leak gigabytes of memory overnight. So thought of downgrading the version, either manually or by some automated means.

Stumbled upon manjaro-downgrade as explained here; has anyone used this in Mabox? Or would it be safer to downgrade manually?

I never used manjaro-downgrade or downgrade anything manually.

What about switching to pipewire?
I use it without any problems for long time and also Mabox ISO ships pipewire by default since more than a year now.

If you like to try pipewire it is very easy to switch to it:

yay manjaro-pipewire

this metapackage should take care of all removals and dependencies.

I’ve tried pipewire in the past, but had lots of trouble using it with a Tascam Model 12 audio interface, so had to revert back to pulseaudio.
