How do I get KDE or GNOME to work properly on Mabox?

Hello Ive been using Mabox Linux since it was the very first distro i came across and tested. I liked it right away because its lightweight very responsive and just works on my hardware. As I am a gaming person I thought of switching to Arch Linux for better steam and gog compatibility and more up to date software versions. I did try Arch sometime and it did work silky smooth especially after I installed KDE Plasma via the Arch install script. The performance was decent. But in the end i still had Mabox because it is much easier to install and also comes with a lot of useful things pre-installed. Arch is more vanilla and flexible but in all fairness it was just too much work to have everything up and running.I now want to use Mabox but only with a modern desktop environment like KDE Plasma or GNOME without Openbox or minimalist installs Mabox usually comes with.I do like Openbox it`s light and responsive but now does look slightly old fashioned. Besides i always have annoying issues like windows not opening or programs hanging, which gets very frustrating when gaming or when doing multitasking.I tried to install KDE or GNOME and remove Openbox manually but it caused a lot of bugs. Applications would not work as expected there were graphical problems. So I’m looking for a simple and stable way to switch Mabox to KDE or GNOME.Also does anyone know which config files or settings i should change in order to make KDE or GNOME work properly on Mabox.

Mabox is based on Manjaro stable branch. It is intended for users who want a stable Openbox with quick access to the latest packages.

If Openbox doesn’t suit you…
Just install Manjaro with KDE or GNOME if you need such desktop environments.
