Can't boot properly with UEFI

I can’t boot with UEFI unless I depower my system/enter safe mode. Otherwise I’m stuck on a black screen. I have disabled both types of fast boot and secure boot is set to “Custom”. I am using ASUS UEFI BIOS. I’ve tried updating grub and it didn’t change anything.

I am also wondering if it’s safe to revert to default UEFI settings.

Could you please share with us your Asus model please?
I’m guessing, also, that you are using the latest Mabox ISO.
