I’ve been using Linux exclusively for about 12 years, although I had sporadic stints as a Linux user before that (I started trying it in the mid-90s), going back and forth between Windows and Linux, although Microsoft’s system predominated.
I’ve tried many distributions. Over the last year, the tests became more dizzying because my computer is a bit old (2014) and was falling behind. Ten months ago, I landed in Maboxland, and although I continued searching for distros for low-resource PCs, Mabox is the one that performs best with my hardware. The others (even Manjaro with the same configurations!) raise the CPU temperature and processor usage skyrocket. Even pure Debian, with Xfce, does the same thing. It doesn’t happen with Mabox; it boots quickly, uses little memory, and continues on its way very smoothly.
Only once, I don’t remember which kernel, did I have problems, and it was most likely my fault: I tend to try a wide variety of software and sometimes install things that aren’t right for me.

Uso Linux de manera exclusiva desde hace aproximadamente 12 años, aunque con anterioridad tenía temporadas esporádicas de linuxero (empecé a probarlo a mediados de los '90), iba y venía entre Windows y Linux, aunque predominaba el sistema de Microsoft.
Probé muchas distribuciones. En el último año las pruebas se hicieron más vertiginosas porque mi equipo tiene sus años (2014) y se estaba quedando rezagado. Hace diez meses aterricé en Maboxland y, si bien seguí buscando entre distros para PCs con pocos recursos, Mabox es la que mejor se desempeña con mi hardware, las otras (incluso Manjaro con las mismas configuraciones!!!), levantan la la temperatura del CPU y el uso de los procesadores se dispara. Hasta Debian puro, con Xfce, me hace lo mismo. No me pasa con Mabox, arranca rápido, con poco uso de memoria y sigue su camino muy tranquilo.
Solo una vez, no recuerdo con qué kernel, tuve problemas, y lo más probable es que hubiera sido por mi culpa: suelo probar software de lo más variado y a veces instalo cosas que no son para mí.
