For three days now, the system has been telling me that everything is up to date, but with Octopi I see that there are six outdated packages:

bash
cava
filesystem
jgmenu
lxrandr
ttf-nerd-fonts-symbols-common

Why does this happen? Should I update those packages?

Repositories:
maboxlinux Server=[https://repo.maboxlinux.org/stable/$arch/](https://repo.maboxlinux.org/stable/$arch/)
core Include=/etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
extra Include=/etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

* * *

Hace tres días que el sistema me dice que está todo actualizado, sin embargo con octopi veo que hay seis paquetes desactualizados:

bash
cava
filesystem
jgmenu
lxrandr
ttf-nerd-fonts-symbols-common

¿por qué pasa eso? ¿actualizo esos paquetes?

Does it happen to anybody else? Any solution?

¿a nadie más le pasa? ¿alguna solución?

Yes, the same packages are outdated here.
If I write as an example
`yay lxrandr`
2 extra/lxrandr 0.3.3-1 (59.5 KiB 239.6 KiB) [lxde] (Installed: 0.3.2-3)
and can be selected to update.
I don’t know why sensitivity of yay is at such level.

What strikes me is that there are so many days without updates. That’s why I thought something was wrong with my system.

Lo que me llama la atención es que haya tantos días sin actualizaciones. Por eso pensé que algo en mi sistema estaba mal.

There is no reason to force these packages to be updated.

Sometimes Mabox ships different versions of some packages than Arch/Manjaro. This is usually due to bugs in new versions.

Yes, very often new versions of packages contain regressions and new bugs in addition to new features.

Some distributions try to keep these bugs out of the system with updates. Others don’t care. This is part of the job called maintaining the distribution.

I will review those packages soon to see if I still need to maintain them in Mabox repo.

Current version of jgmenu is buggy for sure, I will check other packages and eventually update them.

Command line tool - yay - is recommended way to handle updates in Mabox.

Run:

```auto
yay
```

to check and install updates.

Thanks for the reply. I repeat: I was surprised by so many days without updates, which is why I asked.

Last Manjaro stable branch big update date: 19.05.25
Sometimes mirrors stop working.
**pacman-mirrors** is a handy tool to configure better mirrors.
