Hi,

Hope this is the correct part on the forum but I have something partly not working.

  1. When I assign the powerbutton to trigger the logout options (Ask) nothing happens when I press it. When assigned to Suspend it works like a charm

  2. Hibernation doesn’t work, in latest manjaro it does so it’s not hardware nor disklayout issues.
    What would I need to troubleshoot?
    NEW So suddenly it works (only problem now is that it’s booting to desktop without asking for a password…)

How do you assign those buttons to actions? Are you using some program for that or by editing Openbox’s rc.xml file?

Can you provide key code for powerbutton?
You can see keycode by running xev in teminal and then after you press key you will see information about it in terminal.
For example:

KeyPress event, serial 51, synthetic NO, window 0x3a00001,
    root 0x261, subw 0x0, time 13469338, (1109,-48), root:(1109,974),
    state 0x0, keycode 180 (keysym 0x1008ff18, XF86HomePage), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 bytes: 
    XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes: 
    XFilterEvent returns: False

Keycode is in third line: (keysym 0x1008ff18, XF86HomePage)

Hi napcok,

I set it in the xfce-power app that’s included in the distro.
The command doesn’t give me a keypress event, what I see are some Notify messages and a LeaveNotify.

Maybe it’s worth to mention that this is on an old iMac 9,1 (early 2009). Maybe the hardware is a little different then that in/on genuine PC’s?
