# Can't boot properly with UEFI

I can’t boot with UEFI unless I depower my system/enter safe mode. Otherwise I’m stuck on a black screen. I have disabled both types of fast boot and secure boot is set to “Custom”. I am using ASUS UEFI BIOS. I’ve tried updating grub and it didn’t change anything.

I am also wondering if it’s safe to revert to default UEFI settings.

Could you please share with us your Asus model please?  
I’m guessing, also, that you are using the latest [Mabox ISO](https://repo.maboxlinux.org/iso/).
